I purchased your wool will visiting in Vernon this summer. At that time you recommended Sw Merino for a hat and mitts I was going to knit for a new baby. Now I am thinking of knitting a baby sweater as there is quite a lot of it. Would this work? The needles you have on the label are 5-7. Is this US or Canadian? Thanks, Marilynn Cawkell (mcaw@ sympatico .ca)

      Hi Merilynn,
Judging by the recommended needle size, I understand that you purchased the DK weight, Grin, which is a single ply yarn. One skein would be enough for an infant sized sweater, but I’m not sure how much larger you could get out of just one ball. Another thought would be a hat, booties and leg warmers set. Leg warmers can be simple or more complex and are really just a basic tube with no shaping required – just add some ribbing at the top and bottoms and fly away. I hope this helps.
